Sometimes, we all have to go through situations that overwhelm us, for which we do not feel prepared.

After dining with his disciples, Jesus went to the Garden of Gethsemane to pray, just before he was captured. There, ready to face the toughest situation that any person had ever been through, he was ready to seek the Father in prayer.

Jesus was used to spending a lot of time praying on the Mount of Olives, specifically in that little garden. So much so that Judas had told the soldiers' guard to go there to arrest him at dawn, because he was sure that he would be praying there with his disciples at that time.

On his knees, Jesus poured out his heart before the Father, so intensely that an angel had to come to strengthen him, to prevent him from fainting. The Bible, in fact, says that he was in great agony, and that the sweat on his forehead was "like great drops of blood falling to the ground" (Luke 22:44). Imagine the struggle so great he was living!

Yes, Jesus knows what it is to experience anguish. And that is precisely why He understands you perfectly every time you suffer, because, as the Bible says, "we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, for he was tempted in everything just like us, but without sin" (Hebrews 4:15, NASB). He achieved victory in the midst of the worst darkness, and thanks to his prayer time in Gethsemane he was able to rise up, face the test, and overcome death.

My dear friend, today you can pour out your heart before Jesus in prayer and cast your anguish on Him. Thanks to the fact that He has overcome, today you too can experience His victory over any problem that overwhelms you. Rise up mightily in His Name, and advance without fear!

He is with you.

You are a miracle!
